El Pollero 95 is a straightforward seafood spot tucked into the busy stretch of Gage Avenue in Bell. It’s the kind of no-frills neighborhood restaurant where locals come for reliably fresh seafood prepared simply but with clear care. The atmosphere leans toward casual and utilitarian, more about quick, satisfying meals than lingering over ambiance.

This place shines with its ceviche selections and classic fish tacos, making it a go-to if you crave authentic coastal flavors without the fuss. You’ll often find people picking up orders to go rather than sitting in, since seating is limited and the pace is brisk. Arriving earlier in the day is a wise choice—popular items like the shrimp and fish ceviches tend to sell out quickly.

Regulars appreciate the subtle, fresh touches in the dishes, like the perfectly ripe avocado served on the side, which complements the seafood rather than overpowers it. The seafood tastes clean and fresh, reflecting local sourcing and skilled preparation without heavy sauces or unnecessary extras. Pricing is reasonable, making it a practical option for those wanting genuine flavors on a budget.

El Pollero 95 fits neatly into Bell’s working-class, family-oriented vibe. It’s not a spot for formal dinners or date nights, but rather for those who value straightforward, honest Mexican seafood fare—whether you’re grabbing a quick lunch or picking up dinners for the family. If you have a preference for seafood ceviche done with a light hand and vibrant, balanced flavors, this is likely to be a rewarding stop.

I've been coming here since 1993. I wouldn't change. The ceviche is unique! Come see. Its a hole in the wall but those are the ones that are homemade

Best ceviche around...seems like there's a hint of olive oil accenting the flavor of the fish its just delicious and the price is right. I usually take it to go. Come early, they run out.
